I finally got a life!

Project Life that is! In my attempt to keep a New Years' resolution to scrapbook, I decided that Becky Higgins' Project Life, Amber Edition was the perfect resource to kick my rear into gear! I've done some s'booking here and there, but nothing major. Hardly even minor really!

So I've been checking and rechecking the shipping status of my order the past 4 days and just about scared the pants off the UPS guy when he delivered it!

See how excited I am!

I couldn't wait to sit down and start putting it together! Lucky for me I'd watched her set-up video enough times I just about had the darn thing memorized! I got the first and last pages done, and filled in a bunch of the smaller middle sections to get me started. I love the flexibility of this kit! If I decide to journal more, then all I need to do is take out a decorative card and stick in another journaling card. It could not be more simple!

Isn't it just beautiful! Kinda brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?!? Well doesn't it!
So go ahead and click on that link up there and order one for yourself, your mom, your aunt, your best friend, your worst friend, well you get the idea.
If you're not a traditional sb'er like me, it's also available in DIGITAL!
Oh, I got the Amber but it's also available in Turquoise if that tickles your fancy!

Because he served...

Well I realize it's been a while since my last post, but I promise I have a good excuse! We've been quite busy with dance team tryouts, soccer games, physical therapy, Girl Scouts, and preparing for my husband's retirement from the Air Force.

Oh, and I've also been working on rearranging my studio. It was so embarrasing in there! Not hardly any floor to walk on and all tables piled high with crafting goodies and memorabilia that needs to be archived.

Here are a few pictures from my hubby's final "fini" flight and the retirement ceremony!

I'm still alive!

Hello! Yes I know, I've been a bad blogger. I've made a few cards here and there, been to a class my SU demo had, but just haven't gotten anything photographed to blog. I hoping that when the kids go back to school on Monday I can get my craft room reorganized, rearranged, and redecorated. Lord knows I can't create anything in that mess right now!

It's been a good summer in spite of the 50+ days of 100 temps. The girls have spent most of it in the pool. Dana has been busy with youth activities at church and the last 3 weeks of band camp.

Thanks for coming by and remember, Love wins!

EXTREME MAKEOVER, doggie edition!

Now that he's 7 months and we're well into 100 temps everyday, we all figured it was time for Teddy to get a summer cut! I really didn't recognize him when the groomer brought him out! Then I looked into his eyes and he was eager to share lots of kisses - yep! That's our Teddy!
Here he is before:And here he is now!
Talk about an extreme makeover! I love how he's smiling in his close-up! Hubby has been laughing all evening - in tears laughing! MEN!!!

***On a creative note, my mojo has up and went! Perhaps if I clean up my craft area it'll come back. Apparently there's not enough room in there for the 2 of us!
